PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

Pigott Asphalt and Sitework, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Superintendent to join our growing team. The Project Superintendent will oversee daily field operations for asphalt paving, sitework, roadway, and heavy civil construction projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate field operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure work progress and schedule adherence.
  • Manage daily project activities, schedules, and field productivity.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation including reports, change orders, claims, and other required paperwork.
  • Monitor project costs and analyze estimated versus actual job performance.
  • Track and verify subcontractor work progress and payment quantities.
  • Maintain effective communication with owners, inspectors, project managers, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Promote and enforce Pigott Asphalt's commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy highway, roadway construction, asphalt paving, or related heavy civil construction required.
  • Experience with asphalt paving operations and sitework activities preferred.
  • Asphalt Paving Level I & II certifications preferred.
  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) / Traffic Control Supervisor certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, plans, specifications, and construction sequencing.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to efficiently complete and manage project documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and travel as project needs require.
  • Valid Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
