ASPHALT OPERATIONS MANAGER

CWR is a growing road construction company.   We are seeking to fill an Asphalt Operations Manager position for our local operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise asphalt paving operations across multiple projects
• Manage field personnel, including foremen, operators, and labor crews
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor production, schedules, and job costs to meet or exceed project goals
• Coordinate equipment, trucking, and material deliveries to maintain workflow
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and performance
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions in real time
• Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Train, mentor, and develop field staff
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and documentation
• Ability to complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Must be knowledgeable as to all aspects of safety, OSHA, equal employment and affirmative action programs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in asphalt paving operations or road construction
• Proven experience supervising crews and managing field operations
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving processes, equipment, and materials
• Understanding of DOT specifications and quality standards
• Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and job cost reports
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be willing to work days, nights or weekends as needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management systems (preferred)
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check
