Job Overview

Meseyton Construction Ltd. is looking for a skilled Asphalt Screed Operator to join our paving team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating screed controls on asphalt pavers to ensure smooth, accurate, and high-quality asphalt placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the screed controls on an asphalt paver to level, smooth, and distribute asphalt material accurately.
• Monitor and adjust the screed to maintain proper depth, width, and slope specifications.
• Work closely with the paving crew to ensure seamless coordination and production efficiency.
• Perform pre-operational checks and regular maintenance to ensure equipment functions safely and effectively.
• Identify and address minor mechanical issues during operation to prevent downtime.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Asphalt Screed Operator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of paving operations, screed adjustments, and asphalt placement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and grade settings.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (Class 5 or higher preferred).
• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor conditions and various weather environments.
